Wow I wear glass too. How ironic. Anyway I say keep with the music and start out slow. Play infront of friend and family, but don't play just for them. I say you should put together a little concert and invite all of your friend and family, let them invite their friends. I am sure that your friends have friends that you don't know. You if I knew about it I might even go. I wouldn't mind getting out of Seattle for a bit to go to a concert of some guy I feel as if I know. (lol)Okay well I admit thats a little creepy but hey I need a damn vacation!

do what you feel is best if i were u i would start by preforming infront of small audience doesn't have to be friends or family cos you can with friends or family they may not be so truthful on how you could improve your music if it needs improving. personally i would stay with acting cos there is more of a chance of gettin better paid jobs and making more sucess and not gettin stage fright but thats my opinian and if u want to go into music then you should definatly go for it and soon u'll be able to over come stage fright. its just gonna take some time good luck in watever u choose!!!!

I havent really ever had a problem with acting. Ive done the whole getting paid for acting on stage. Some would say its not really all that different but I would beg to differ there when it comes to singing. Though, being someone like I am who has always hate being nervous, I would personally go with the whole open-mic thing. You would at least learn if you could do it, and that will tell you if you have a chance of getting over that fear soon or not. If you dont, well then thats when I would say try another avenue until youre ready for a open-audience venue. But thats just my take. Hope it helps!

exactly. work your way up. play in front of family and your friends (starting with the few you are comfortable with and then more). If you ever get nervous in front of them, remember they won't mind. And yes, please play for us. You're probably really good! I'm looking forward to your music and acting.
We know you can do it, Cheeseonpotato

Play in front of friends/family first, then work your way up. Also, play to us. Putting your stuff in a public video will seem like you're playing to no one but then people will be able to see it. Once people compliment your music skill it'll boost your confidence.

I think you should make your priorities clear, I mean for yourself because acting and singing are two really different things. So, first make a commitment to the one you like the most and pursue it, just get up and go! Do it! think of the worst thing that can happen, don't be afraid... I personally think you would be good at acting , but that's because I haven't seen ( or heard) any piece of your musical skills so, why don't you post some videos of you performing? I'm sure there is more than one waiting for that to happen. Have a great week and kick ass in your audition! =D
